Hello everyone!
If you were wondering about the title, Kuchu is the nickname of my younger sister. Even though she is not a baby anymore, my brother and I still call her Kuchu. Over the winter break she stayed with me for a while, and among other things, we spent some quality time in the craft room π
To make things interesting, I proposed that we do a challenge together. For the first challenge, I asked her to choose an image from my Pinterest Inspiration board, and we both made a card based on it.
Here is the image she chose:
We had free reign on the products and the techniques we choose to use for our cards, and here they are:

Now that I think back, I did masking, embossing and stamping on this card. The two blocks of color are done by masking and sponging on ink. While the mask for the aqua area was still on, I stamped a small dot with the same ink at random places. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Stamp’s set Many Thanks. The flower is embossed in white, and for a hint of dimension, I added the yellow enamel dot.

As you can see, she paid no attention to the colors in the photo, instead, she went for the layout in it. This was her first time blending inks with a foam applicator, and I think she did an amazing job as a first timer! π
For our second challenge, I chose a stamp set, and the challenge was to design a card using stamps only from this set.
This set is designed by me, and has a lot of hexagon images.
My card:
Just a lot of stamping here, nothing too complicated.
Kuchu’s card:
She stamped and cut each hexagon separately, then mounted them all on foam tape. A very neat job, I must say, and a pretty color combination too!
Thanks for stopping by π
