Runway Inspired Challenge

It is Runway Inspired Challenge‘s 50th challenge!

We are ending this year with this outfit from Matthew Williamson Spring 2014 collection:

I took the color of the pants and the flower from the vest for inspiration. After much thought and playing with different ideas, I made this card:

RIC 50

If this looks familiar to you, it is probably because you have seen Anita Rex’s handmade wreaths 🙂

To create the green ring, I die cut two circles out of post-it A4 size sheet. I used the smaller circle and the negative of the larger circle to cover all area except for the ring. Then I applied Distress ink (Shabby Shutters) using a sponge dauber.

The flowers are made out of white felt. The smaller one was made using a mini rolled Rose die from My Favorite Things. The larger one was made using a scallop die. I cut small lengths of white flower wire, added pearl stickers to their ends, and glued them behind the flowers. The greeting was handwritten with a Gold metallic pen.

This week’s sponsor is Ellen Hutson, and the winner will receive a $25 store credit to her online store!

Make sure to stop by the Runway Inspired Challenge as you don’t want to miss what the rest of the team created, plus we have an awesome guest designer this week!

Thanks for stopping by 🙂
