CASE Study 150

Hello friends!

It’s CASE Study challenge #150! wow! That is a big number! And alongside it we are approaching CASE Study’s third year anniversary!  We will be hosting a five day long celebration .of inspirations and  fun prizes. So make sure to hop along with use between August 1st and 5th.

Now for this week’s inspiration. We have this masterpiece from Jocelyn:

CSC150This was love at first sight back when Jocelyn had posted it!

I really like how Jocelyn filled the overlapping areas with colors that you would expect if the shapes were transparent. My first thought was to use vellum, and I went with that idea. I also wanted to use a symmetrical shape as I wanted to create a semicircle at one corner of my card. Well, it turned out that my hearts were too big for my idea to work, so I laid them down horizontally and overlapping each other:

I tried to use colors as close as possible from the inspiration. Well, most of them are actually off, but I had to work with whatever vellum I had 🙂

I cranked the vellum sheets through my Xyron machine to apply an even layer of adhesive on their backs. After I punched out the hearts with the SU! Heart punch, they were just like vellum stickers!

The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Stamp “Thinking of You” set, and it is stamped with SU! Chocolate chip ink.

Make sure to visit CASE Study Challenge blog and check out the interpretation of the the rest of the team.
