Masking Delicate Images

Hello! Here is a card with another stamp from the “Everything Happy” set from Clearly Besotted Stamps.

No Video

I stamped the flower image on white card stock (5.5″ x 4.25″), then masked it off with post-it label. Post-it labels have full adhesive on the back, so I was able to stamp the image, cut it out and use it as a mask. I also masked off about an inch from all sides using eclipse masking tape, which comes in 1″ width tape; quite convenient.

After all the masking I used Distress inks and a sponge applicator to create the background. Then I stamped Thanks, and colored in some areas with white gel pen. Finally, I trimmed off 1/8″ from all sides and mounted it on black card base using foam tapes.

Materials:

Stamp: Clearly Besotted Stamps “Everything Happy” Fiskars Grateful set.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Inks: Worn Lipstick, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey, Sakura white gel pen.

Paper: Neenah Solar white, Recollection Textured Black.
