CASE Study Challenge #188

Hello!

I am back with another CASE Study challenge. This week marks the last inspiration from our April muse Jaclyn Miller. I had so much fun CASE-ing her work!

Here is this week’s inspiration:

CSC188

Isn’t this composition quite interesting? I was inspired by the loose elements and the colors used here.

My card:

Tasnim-CASE 188

Not much work on this card. All I had to work on was the butterfly embellishment, and the rest was positioning and assembling. I stamped the butterfly with distress ink Picked Raspberry on water color paper, then used a wet brush to spread the color all over before trimming it out. On the card base I splattered some Heidi Swapp Gold Lame color shine (it’s gorgeous!).

The patterned paper is from a retired My Minds Eye paper pack. The label saying ‘grateful’ is a left over from an older project. Notice that the letters are not perfectly spaced, which is why it was cast away, but I am glad I didn’t throw it away as I think it works well with this card. The flair is from Bossy Jocie, here is a better look at it:

I was debating whether to keep the twine or not. I usually go for clean and controlled designs, but I decided to take the plunge and keep the twine 🙂

I hope you get a chance to play along! Make sure to stop by the CASE study challenge blog for more inspiration.

Thanks for visiting!
