Wooh! I am actually writing a post that is titled neither Runway Inspired Challenge nor CASE Study Challenge! Don’t get me wrong, I love designing for those challenges, but lately I haven’t had the chance to create much. However, in the last two days I made some time to design a few cards for Jackie’s Pantone Color Challenges.
You will find all the details and the links to each color challenge on the side bar of her blog. The deadline is Sunday September 22, so there is still some time left if you want to play along 🙂
Since I am already very late in entering, I decided to share three cards at a time.
First up, Grayed Jade:
Supplies: Stamp Close to My Heart Friendship, Ink Stampin’Up Baja Breeze, Die Memory Box Thanks, Paper Neenah Solar white and Bazzill Gray, Embellishment from Michaels
Next, Linen:
Supplies: Stamp Fiskars Girly Posh and SSS All Occasion banners, Ink CTMH Vanilla Cream, Paper Neenah Solar white and Michaels beige, Die SU! Bitty banners framelits, Punch SU! Blossom, Embellishment from Michaels
I swiped the edges of the flowers with the Vanilla cream ink pad (pigment ink). Whereas you can see it clearly on the white one, the effect is quite subtle on the beige one.
and lastly, Dusk Blue:
Stamp Flower Design & Motifs & CBS With Love, Ink Copic B32 B34, Paper Neenah Solar white & Sparkle vellum
For this one I printed out the images of two different Rose clusters, colored, trimmed, then arranged them as they are on the card. Before attaching the Rose arrangement I glued down the 1/2″ vellum strips using UHU glue stick. This glue is strong and leaves no marks when using it with vellum. However, they can be a bit messy.
I will be back tomorrow with a few more cards.
Thanks for stopping by!
