Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

Hello!

A quick post to share my take on the current Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World:

I loved the photo so much I couldn’t resist making a card!

cross stitch heart

here is a close up:

I used a neutral card stock (Bazzill walnut cream) for the heart base. Using a paper piercing tool, and Tim Holtz ruler (which helped me get everything lined up at equidistant) I pierced the holes.

I wanted to use a gradient thread which I didn’t have so I just colored a white thread with four different shades of Copic markers. I forgot how long cross-stitching takes! Or maybe I am just slow…

The roses, my first attempt at making cabbage roses. I used the two smaller flowers from this memory box die to make them. I die cut five flowers of each size, distressed the edges with brown ink and the petals with a stylus, then bunched them up close and adhered them together with glossy accent.

Finally stamped “love” on one side to balance the image (I hope it looks balanced…I was running out of time).

Thanks for visiting!
