Runway Inspired Challenge #20

Hello!

Finally I am here with a card and a video.

Here is the card:

I made this card for the Runway Inspired Challenge #20.

Here is the inspiration photo:

The first thing that caught my eyes was the grey and the teal. They look so good together! And I thought the little pop of yellow in the background warmed up the image.

I was set on using a flower stamp from a PTI set called “Rosie Posie”. The stamp is a solid image stamp, and I don’t have any ink pad that matches the color of the jacket. I do have Copic markers in that color but I wasn’t sure how to use it with the solid stamp. I thought of stamping in a very light ink then coloring with the Copic markers, but the image has fine details which would be difficult to color in with a brush tip marker.

So to get an approximate color, I combined two distress inks; “peacock feathers” and “mowed lawn”. And as you will see in the video, I went to much trouble to get the flower in those combined colors.
